Yves Sabre Lebdeh born in Melbourne, Australia in 2014, started learning Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 4.
Yves has travelled the world in pursuit of knowledge, experience and has competed at the highest levels in Jiu-Jitsu. Yves achieved the Number 1 IBJJF Ranking in 2022-2023 in both overall Yellow Belt Pee Wee 3 and in the Lightweight category. Yves was also the Number 1 ranked Juvenile Yellow Belt girl in Australia 2023 and 2024, achieving a clean sweep winning all Australian National, State, Territory and Oceania titles in 2023.
Yves has trained with some of the most prestigious academies and professors from around the world. Yves started her journey at SJJA Pascoe Vale then progressed to G-force in Melbourne who are part of the Australian Elite Team. Yves has trained in Singapore at FAMA, Ohana in Thailand, Island BJJ in Honolulu Hawaii, DelaRiva in Abu Dhabi, Team Nogueira Dubai, ATOS Dubai, ATOS Las Vegas and Art of Jiu Jitsu (AOJ) Costa Mesa California. Amongst her greatest achievements, Yves recently formally joined and will represent AOJ in all IBJJF competitions.
Yves has written and designed her books for newcomers to Jiu-Jitsu, junior athletes, budding enthusiasts and our little friends often sitting by the mats watching their older siblings and friends take part in class or in competition. Each position in BJJ ABC has been modelled by Yves and meticulously illustrated in a relatable way to encourage the next generation of Jiu-Jitsu athletes to be inspired to participate in our wonderful sport.
BJJ 123 is a fun and relatable activity book that encourages kids to tune out with some mindful activities, all the while learning and having fun.
